We are presenting a selection of brilliant short films all on the theme of architecture for the Love Architecture Festival. With animations, documentaries, comedy, archive, and experimental fare, this programme of films has a bit of everything. Highlights include Rob Carter’s terrific hand-crafted stop-animation film which demonstrates how a METROPOLIS is born, The Media Archive for Central England’s gloriously funny short, SPAGHETTI KONG featuring some fascinating footage from the 1970s of spaghetti Junction and Birmingham’s infamous King Kong statue, and the award-winning documentary ROBIN HOOD GARDENS (OR EVERY BRUTALIST STRUCTURE FOR ITSELF). If you feel like you need a little taster of the programme, then check out this link to Patrick Jean’s retro animation, PIXELS.
